"Are You A Mainer?" Students got to compete in a salsa making competition this week to showcase their work ready skills. The lucky judges shared their feedback with students after the winner was announced. Congrats to group 5!

Nokomis students had the opportunity to explore Food Science and Nutrition today at UMaine Orono. They did everything from trying to identify fake maple syrup in a taste test in the sensory lab to making pizza with Professor Rob!

During Warrior Day, Key Club and other students created dog toys out of old, donated t-shirts. It was a great success, and we will be doing it again next month. If you have old, but clean t-shirts you'd like to get rid of, please drop them off at the high school for Ms. Levasseur

Sophomore students in Mrs. Wilson's Employment Development class practiced their teamwork skills by becoming fashion designers for their classmates! #GoWarriors!

Students in the new interdisciplinary elective "Are You A Mainah?" had the opportunity to visit with thirteen different professionals from a variety of careers last week.
Thank you to all of these amazing adults who shared their careers and knowledge with our students!

It is with great sadness we share the passing of a former Nokomis staff member who had a tremendous impact on countless Nokomis Warriors. 1st Sgt John McKim was one of our first JROTC Instructors and was a driving force behind building and establishing our amazing JROTC Program. "Top" was deeply committed to and invested in our school, community, and students. He loved being a Warrior! Our condolences go out to the McKim Family.

Attention Senior Parents! Our Senior Award Night Ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm tonight, Thursday, 6/8. We made a slight adjustment to support another major school event. Seniors are aware and still need to arrive at school by 5:30. Hope to see you tonight and Go Warriors!

Today Mrs. Neal's Acting II class spent the day "clowning" around, performing for the Nokomis Middle School 5th graders! They created their own skits, and applied all the skills they learned over the past month with a live performance. The audience was interactive and wonderful!

Congratulations to Ebony Parker and Ava LePage as both were selected to represent Maine against all of New England in Gymnastics Regionals. Only seven gymnasts from each level are chosen out of the entire state. On May 21 these warriors competed in Massachusetts, where they competed in all four events which included vault, uneven bars, balance Beam, and floor exercise. We are so proud of your accomplishments!
