Good Evening! This is a reminder that this week officially starts Phase 3 of our remote learning. There won't be any classes this week, but teachers will be conducting homeroom meetings and doing check-ins so students should check their emails and Google classrooms. They will also be contacting parents/caregivers to get updated information in order to make sure students have what they need for Phase 3. The remote learning schedule we started during Phase 2 will continue and will resume on Monday, May 4th. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher. Stay well and have a good evening!

Good evening, this is Angela Brown, principal of Nokomis Regional Middle School.  I am calling to check in on everyone.  I hope you are all doing well and making it through this very difficult time.  I also wanted to update parents/caregivers on a few things regarding school:The first is to let you know we are closing quarter 3 on Friday, but students will have until the morning of Thursday, April 23 to get missing work into teachers.  The progress reports that are being generated for quarter 3 are not going to follow our typical grading scale.  There's a letter that explains everything that teachers will be sharing with students and parents/caregivers tomorrow.  I will also be sharing it on our school website and our school Facebook page. The second is to tell you that next week is April vacation and there won't be any remote classes.  The third is to share with you our plan for Phase 3 of remote learning:  Teachers will be starting back with their homeroom check-ins beginning Monday, April 27th, but remote classes won't resume until Monday, May 4th.  The week of the 27th teachers will be reaching out to families to get updated information from them regarding the work students will be doing during phase 3.  We expect phase 3 to run until at least the end of May so we want to make sure students have what they need for that amount of time. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher. We know this has been an extremely difficult time and we want to thank you for all you are doing and all the support you've given us.  It's greatly appreciated. Take care and be well.

Good morning. We are aware that many NRMS families, including some of our staff, do not have power and/or internet at this time. We will be continuing our remote learning schedule this week (week 3 of Phase 2), but we recognize there will be some adjustments needed due to the current situation. Staff will update their Google classrooms as soon as they are able and we ask that students rejoin their classes/schedule as soon as they can. If you are able to contact your child's teacher to update them on your current status that would be appreciated! We will continue to do our best to support families during this time so please don't hesitate to reach out. Take care!

8th grade staff’s message to their students!
Good evening, everyone! We started week 2 of our remote learning plan (Phase 2) today. All students have a set M-Th. schedule that runs from 8:45-12:00 and on Friday time is set aside for additional support/check ins with teachers/staff. Please ask your child about their remote learning classes and make sure you are responding to any and all emails/texts/calls from the school. We are trying to make this time apart as valuable as possible and we'd like to thank you in advance for your support! Have a great night!

Phase 2 of our school closure (March 30th-April 17th) will be shifting to more of a remote learning model with a schedule. Staff should be in contact with parents/caregivers regarding this intermediate step. Contact your child's teacher if you have any questions!

We miss you!
There are no set office hours at the middle school during this time. Our phone system is set to give you options when you call. You can leave a message for the main office or you can use the directory and leave a message for the teacher. You also can call central office at 368-5091 if you’d like to speak to someone as they will have more consistent coverage daily. Please remember you can email specific staff during this time as well.

Good evening! This a reminder to parents that Quarter 1 at Nokomis Regional Middle School is ending and students have until the beginning of next week to get any missing, late, or re-take assignments into their teachers. We are asking that all parents check Infinite Campus so they are aware of student’s grades and that students use the weekend to get work done if necessary. Reach out to your child’s teachers if you have any questions! Report cards will go home next Friday, Nov. 8th. Happy Halloween!
