This is another reminder that if you ordered seeds through the FEDCO PTF SVES fundraiser your orders are ready for pick up. If you have not already picked up your order they are available for pickup curbside at 35 West Street in Newport. Also, please be looking for communication from your child(ren)'s teacher and/or on the remote learning sites about classroom virtual meetings next week. Each class will get an opportunity next week to have a virtual meeting with a teacher from the next grade level up that they will be moving to in the fall. Please be aware that the teacher they meet with is not necessarily his/her classroom teacher next year. This is a great chance to ask any questions they may have before summer vacation begins.
This message is intended for parents of SVES fourth grade students. Staff from SVES will be around to deliver surprise yard signs for each of our fourth grade students tomorrow between 10:00-12:00. Each student has one sign that will be delivered to the primary residence we have on file for each student. If you get a chance to take a picture of your child in front of his/her sign, please email it to Mrs. Donahue or your child's classroom teacher. We would love to see them!
This message is intended for the parents of SVES fourth grade students. Due to the physical closure of our school building, we are unable to conduct our normal end of year celebrations with our fourth grade students. In an effort to make the end of the year special, we would like to put together a video montage for these students. We are asking that parents email photos of your fourth grade child to Mrs. Donahue, at ldonahue@rsu19.net to be included in the slideshow. By providing the photos, you are giving permission for them to be published in an online format. We are also asking that if anyone's physical address has changed since filling out an emergency card, that you update us of those changes.
Anyone who placed a FEDCO Seed order through Sebasticook PTF can pick them up today at 35 West Street in Newport until 5:00PM. The orders are available for curb side pick up at this address. If you are unable to pick up your seed order today, please email Mrs. Donahue at ldonahue@rsu19.net and she will work with the PTF to make other arrangements.
Good Morning, many of our staff members and students at SVES are without power today. Due to this, many of the meetings that were scheduled today may not be able to be held. We apologize for this inconvenience. Please make sure you monitor any class meeting your child may try to attend today to be sure there is a teacher present to supervise. For those that were invited to Principal’s Cafe today, this is postponed until next week. Staff will be reaching out next week about rescheduling any meetings that were unable to take place.
Good Evening, this message is to notify SVES parents that many of our staff members are still without power and internet due to the recent storm. Please be aware that this may effect a teacher’s ability to update our online learning sites. We also recognize that many students are without power and internet as well and may not be able to access the slides when they do become available. We appreciate your patience and look forward to updating the online sites as soon as we are able.

Staff at SVES have been working on creating individualized student packets of work and information about access to other materials for students to utilize while school is closed. These packets can be picked up this Wednesday, March 18, at SVES between 7:30AM-1:00PM. At that time, we will also be sending home personal items that may have been left at school. Please have ONE adult per family come into the school to collect these packets. We are trying to limit the exposure of too many people in one place while distributing these packets.
