Due to the current high transmission rates of COVID, SVES will be having a modified Open House event tomorrow, August 31 from 5:30-6:30. Starting at 5:30, staff from SVES will be available to meet and greet parents and students outside. Teachers will be holding up signs indicating the grade level they teach and their names to make them easier to find. PK parents are welcome to meet teachers by the PK playground. Staff members will be available to help point you in the right direction. We recommend wearing masks to this event. Masked students will be invited to go on a tour of their classroom following the meet and greet. Parents will be provided with the typical Open House paperwork to complete outside on clipboards, or in your vehicle while students take a tour inside. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the school at 368-4592.

Thank you to our parents and family members of SVES for making our pick-up procedures in the afternoon run so smoothly. As the weather gets nicer, we know that it is tempting to get out of your vehicles to wait in the sunshine for your child during afternoon pick up time. We would like to request that you please remain in your vehicles while in the parent pick-up car line so you are prepared to pull ahead if the staff outside directs you to do so. If you are the parent of a PK or K child and need to get out of your vehicle to assist your child into a booster seat, or with buckling, please wait until you see your child exiting the school to do so. Thank you again for your help in continuing to make afternoon student pick-up time run so smoothly.

This is a message for family members of students that attend SVES. We want to thank you for all that you are doing this year to help keep our school open and safe for students. We would like your help continuing to make morning drop off as safe as possible. Please remember to drive slowly through the drop off area in the morning and to pull all the way up the walkway area when you drop off, so other parents can pull in behind. Please try to have your student(s) exit the vehicle on the passenger side, as it is closest to the walkway. We would also like to remind parents to continue to monitor your child(ren) each morning and keep them home if they are not feeling well. If you are unsure if your child(ren) is feeling well enough to come to school, we ask you to err on the cautious side and keep them home. Thank you for your help keeping our school safe for all students.
