This is a reminder that our PK, K, and 1st grade winter concert is tomorrow, December 17th at 9:30 AM. The concert is scheduled to last an hour or less and we ask that friends and family plan to stay until the end, as the groups will be doing some songs together at the conclusion of the concert. Doors will open at 9:00 AM. It is a winter concert so please feel free to dress your child in blue and white. We know that some students may have other attire that they would prefer to wear and that's fine too! Both morning and afternoon PK students will attend the morning session so they can perform together in the concert. There will be no afternoon PK. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Picture retake day at SVES is tomorrow, November 13th. A couple of things to note for retake day: They will photograph any student that wants a retake, however replacement packages are only ordered for students who give the original pictures back, so please send them in with your child tomorrow if you want them to have a retake. If a family only got a digital image and they no longer have the sheet that went home, you can just send a note. Whatever photo is taken on retake day overwrites the one that was taken on the original picture day. The retake image will be the one put on the class composite. Students and families can still order photos with an order flyer or online, with the retake day specific order code. 92174FD

Also remember that Thursday, October 10th is an early release day and Friday, October 11th is an in-service day , with no school for students. We were so pleased to have such a successful first day back to school at SVES! As a reminder, morning drop off begins no earlier than 7:40am. We also ask that parents please remain in/near your vehicle for afternoon pick up in the pick up lines. Having parents walk up to the door creates congestion and confusion for our students and staff at dismissal. As another helpful resources, I am including a link to our School Handbook here. https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/356/sebasticook/4769083/SVES_Parent_Student_Prek-4_Handbook__2_.pdf Physical copies can be obtained upon request.

Starting with the 2024/2025 school year, the majority of the annual student information paperwork that is sent home at the beginning of the school year will be completed online for all students in RSU 19. Parents and guardians will now be able to enter the information through their Infinite Campus Parent Portal App. If you don't have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account, you can get one by emailing tech@rsu19.net. We ask that this be completed before school begins on August 28th. Laptops and support will be available at the school for those that need it, including during Open House on August 27th. Thank you and please reach out if you have any questions.

This is a reminder that SVES has field day tomorrow, June 10th. This year the district requires a waiver for your student to use the inflatable obstacle course. Please be sure to send that in with your child on Monday morning if you have not already. Also remember to send in a towel and change of clothes for the wet activities. Applying sunscreen and bug spray at home the morning of is strongly encouraged. You are welcome to send in sunscreen for your child to reapply it throughout the day. It will be important for your child to have their water bottle, as they will be traveling to outdoor stations for most of the day.
