Good evening, We are experiencing an explosive uptick in positive Covid cases among our students. Last year our families did a great job keeping students home who were not feeling well. Please, if anyone in the family is experiencing sickness, basic cold symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, cough or fever keep your students home. If someone in the family has been tested for Covid and is awaiting results, please keep your children home. We want to remain in school for our learning.

Due to Penobscot and Somerset Counties still having high transmission rates and designated as Red, we will require masks to be worn by staff, students, and visitors while in the building this week. The district has about 20 students positive for Covid 19.

Please be aware that we are mailing our lunch eligibility forms to each household this year instead of putting it into the packet of information we send home during the first few days of school. It is very important that these forms are returned to school when we get back into session as we use this information for more than school lunch determinations. We use this information to qualify for grants, federal funding, summer school programming and teacher student loan forgiveness. Even if you don't think your family will qualify for a free or reduced lunch status, it is still important that the completed forms are returned to school. This is an important message from RSU 19 The 2021 Summer Meal Program will be ending on Friday July 23, 2021. Families that picked up meals from the area schools, this will be the last day to receive the meals. Thank you for your support and for letting us help your families. Enjoy the rest of the summer and school starts September 1st for K-9 and September 2nd for 10-12.

Summer Meal Program RSU 19 The summer program for RSU 19 is starting on Monday June 21, 2021. There is an on-line form for parents to fill out if you wish to receive meals over the summer. Form: http://bit.ly/19SummerMeals The program is for PICK UP ONLY. There will no longer be a home delivery option. If you want to come to the nearest school (Etna, Somerset, Sebasticook, Nokomis Middle School) to pick up meals, you must fill out the form so we know how many meals to prepare. The program runs from June 21 st to July 23 rd , 2021. Lunches can be picked up from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day. With the lunches, breakfasts will be given out to be used the next day.
