The following is a message we received yesterday from Superintendent Jordan who supervises the MSAD 46 and Tri County Technical Center. We wanted to communicate this message with our community in collaboration and support of the Center's handling of the situation. RE: COVID-19 POSITIVE CASE AT Tri-County Technical Center This email is to inform you that an individual associated with Tri-County Technical Center has tested positive for COVID-19. We were notified this morning. We have taken steps with our response team to follow Maine CDC and DOE guidelines to notify staff and students as appropriate. We believe it best to share what we can with our entire community. Here are some details: The individual who tested positive was last in attendance at the school on Friday 10/30/20. Five students who attend TCTC and one staff member is now in quarantine. Students and staff in quarantine will be contacted directly by CDC contact tracers and school personnel

Due to the Veterans Day Holiday (no school) falling on Wednesday, November 11th this year, and that being a remote learning day for our Kindergarten through 6th grade students, we are going to make Friday of that week a remote learning day and have all students stay home on Friday, November 13th and follow your child's typical Wednesday schedule.

Message from RSU 19 Food Services There are many families that had a free or reduced lunch benefit last year that have not returned a lunch application for this year. Those statuses have ended. If you have not submitted an application for this year already, you are now full pay. Once the summer program extension ends, all meals will have to paid. The school district relies on these free/reduced percentages because it directly effects Title 1, Title 2 and Title 4 funding for this year. It effects the rates for internet access and so much more. Please get a lunch application from your child’s school, fill it out and return it as soon as you can. We need these returned quickly. Please call David Leighton at 355-3613 or email at dleighton@rsu19.net with questions or to check your child’s lunch status. Thank You

Through a waiver from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Maine Department of Education is able to extend the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) allowing school districts and community partners to provide meals to students during extended remote learning due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. RSU 19 is asking only those families that would like to participate in this program to please complete the following survey. If you don't wish to participate in this program please ignore this message. Details regarding meal pickup and delivery times are still being finalized and those details will be made available soon. If you have questions or wish to stop receiving meals at any time please contact David Leighton, Director Child Nutrition, at 355-3613 or dleighton@rsu19.net Survey: http://bit.ly/RSU19MEAL

I'm pleased to let you know that we are still able to provide free meals to all our student up until late December or until further notice. We will be working out the details for providing meals to our remote learners and at home student days within the next two weeks. Please also bear with us as we work out our bus run times over the few days. The run times should be very similar to last year and they are posted on our website. Some of the driver names have changed; however, the run are very similar. Thank you for your understanding.

Good evening, We hope that you are all enjoying your summers. We also wanted you to know that the administration and the school board are working on what our return to school will look like this fall. We don’t have all the details put together yet; however, we’re busy planning for how we can safely get our students back to school. Please stay tuned for any requests for information, like surveys, that we put out to gather our own information from our families. We know that other groups in Maine have asked you for information and we may need this information as well. Thank you and take care,
