My name is David Page and as the new principal of Nokomis Regional Middle School, it is my pleasure to welcome you all back for the 2023/2024 school year. As this is my first year in the district, I look forward to getting to know all the students, families and community members of RSU 19. I am honored and excited to be selected as the leader of such a wonderful school and eager for the year to officially kick off!
I arrive at NRMS with over 25 years as a middle level educator. While I have taught all over Maine, and even in Japan for 3 years, I most recently served for 12 years in nearby RSU 3 as both a middle school classroom teacher, varsity girls soccer coach, and high school assistant principal. I hope to use my experiences, as well as the collective wisdom and experience of our staff, to continue to build upon the amazing goings on here at Nokomis Regional Middle School.
Even though I’ve only been here for a few weeks, I’ve seen many teachers in their classroom eagerly preparing for the upcoming school year. I’ve heard nothing but positive reports about the teachers and staff here and recognize that they are what make NRMS so wonderful. My goal is to support and collaborate with them and the community, to continue to make this a safe, respectful, and welcoming school.
