Good evening! This is Angela Brown, principal of Nokomis Regional Middle School.  I am calling to give a brief update on our return to school plans.  The first day of school for all students is next Tuesday, September 8th.  Teachers have been contacting families to give them information regarding their grade level teams and to discuss the basics regarding the return to school.
Student schedules are continuing to be worked on and will be ready for students on their first day.  If you haven't heard from your child's teacher yet, please call the school at 355-3600.  If your child is going to be a fully remote student, devices can be picked up here at
school through 3:00 on Friday.  It is very important that you have access to your Infinite Campus accounts.  The Infinite Campus portal was updated over the summer and is on our RSU 19 District Web Page at www.rsu19.org  If you need an account, email tech@rsu19.net
It is also very important that we have your most current contact information so if anything has changed please contact us so it can be updated.  You will be getting information soon from the district regarding transportation and lunches.  We are asking that you please bear with us
as we transition into this very unique school year.  The first four days are undoubtedly going to be somewhat hectic, as you can probably imagine, because even our best laid plans will have hiccups.  We are going to try our very best to get things up and running as quickly as possible
so we ask for your patience and understanding as we negotiate this previously unexplored territory of in-person and remote learning in the time of Covid.  The safety and well-being of all of our students is of utmost importance to us and we have been hard at work preparing for their return.  Although things will be different than they were last spring, I hope the support, encouragement, and appreciation that were on full display show themselves once again as we embark on this back-to-school adventure.  We are always stronger together.
Have a great night!
